Open/Floating Shelving

So something I wasn't sure about when I first looked at it I now love! I love open shelving. I think if done right it really can create so much more storage. I think if you have a smaller space bringing in a piece of furniture doesn't really make to much sense. I think when it comes to open shelving many people don't know what to do with it, or they don't like to idea of having to always keep things just so. Well the best solution for that is to put decorative baskets on the shelves and to put the items inside. This way you get a great clean look while storing things inside. If you don't have a proper linen closet this is something great to add to a guest bathroom with clean towels for you guests. This is especially great if you have limited space under the sink. This way you can place the towels out in advance for you guests, along with some nice soaps for their use. They can also be used to put all your hair products, and blow dryers, and other items. This avoids the clutter on the counter top! Open shelving is very affordable, and be taken with you when you decided to move spaces. There are so many different ways to use these shelves, all you have to do is get creative! Below is a picture to give you some ideas! These shelves would even be cute used as a night stand or side table with a nice basket or decorative box underneath for great storage!
